NATO Watch is an independent, not-for-profit ‘virtual’ think-tank which examines the role of NATO in public life and advocates for more openness, transparency and accountability within the Alliance.

This Drupal-based information and analysis-oriented site was developed over autumn and winter 2009. It was launched on 1 March 2010.

Specific requirements included: very specific menu behaviour; different page templates for flash and non-flash content; custom date display; ability for public to add themselves as "signatories".

Amongst many others, the following Drupal modules are in play for specific functions and features:

• TACLite - Access control for private resources
• SimpleNews - "Observatory" and other subscription-based mailed content
• Print - for email, print and pdf links (using TCPDF)
• Panels - for main display
